Made it to Krakow Safely

Well our journey took a little longer than expected.  About two hours into our ride (a half an hour before our first planned stop) the bus started smoking due to a lack of coolant or something.  So we had to wait for a city bus to come pick us up and take us to the nearest city, where we ate lunch and hung around until another tour bus met up with the other bus and transferred our luggage.  Then we ended up stopping at a little town called Kazimierz, where some sort of festival was going on.  It was absolutely beautiful and on the biggest river in Poland.  Our hostel here in Krakow is pretty nice, however, not as nice as our one in Warsaw.  It is quite a bit smaller and I am pretty sure that we are the only people staying here.  Hopefully I will be able to add some pictures of Warsaw and Kazimierz.

Paz y Amor,
Laura

  1. Happy to hear you made it to Krakow safely despite your delay. Your travels seem to be a constant adventure. Sounds like Kazimierz was a worthwhile place to visit. Emily's party was nice - great weather. Brian got on the road to Syracuse about 5. He's pretty excited about his new vehicle and GPS. Looking forward to pictures of Poland. Stay close to your friends and be safe!! We love you,

  2. The cultural eye openers, like the unexpected little festival in Kazimierz, are some of the best memories. Laura, (this is a Grandma speaking), be sure you always carry your purse with strap across your chest - not on one arm (as in photo with yellow rimmed suns on) --
How is the weather? GREAT photos --- Alfred G's.

  3. Hi Sweetie,
Your mom sent me your blog site so I will be checking on you daily!
I'm so happy you are able to see and experience all that you are. One thing I need to do in my life is visit Auschwitz. I had a friend who was a prisoner there when he was a young man and escaped. He had his identification numbers tatooed to his forearm and the stories he told me were amazing and heartbreaking.
From your pix it looks like you guys are having a great time. Stay close to your buddies and enjoy your trip.
    Love you!!
